WordCamp Sheffield is just 5 weeks away and things are coming along nicely 🙂

Right now we’ve managed to:

• Sell over half of our ticket allocation
• Confirmed 15 awesome speakers including WordPress co-founder Mike Little
• Released a packed 2-track schedule aimed at general WordPress users and hardcore developers alike
• Sold sponsor packages to the wonderful:
  • Human Made – Stainless Steel sponsors
  • Make Do – Silver Sponsors (2 slots left)
  • Connected UK & Elementary Digital – Bronze sponsors (sold out)
  • 4 of our Individual Sponsors – aimed at community members and small businesses

What next?

Over the next month we’ve got to shift the remaining lot of tickets, confirm the after-party venue (almost sorted), order the awesome t-shirts (can’t wait to see these) and get the final catering booked.

Helping you help us

All of this awesome stuff will be happening at Mappin Hall in Sheffield City Center. We’re working with our local buddies to find out the best spots to stay overnight and park. We highly recommend public transport when attending the WordCamp as Sheffield has a great network of trains buses and trams (also, the venue is about 10mins walk from the main train station).
